In web development RIA is the latest trend, and it seems to be a very good one. RIA stands for "Rich Internet Applications", meaning that desktop functionality is offered through a webbased interface.

Building on my experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP and MySQL in the past, I am nowadays exploring the added value of the Adobe Flex framework with ActionScript 3. My ultimate goal is to build applications that support me in capturing and applying neurosurgical knowledge for patient benefit.
