About Me

I am a Dutch guy living in the south of the Netherlands, in the beautiful city of Maastricht. I got my medical degree in 2002 and have been working at the department of neurosurgery here since 2003. My official residency started in 2006, and it is combined with a PhD-project on functional neuronavigation (fMRI, DTI) and intraoperative MRI (iMRI). Both should be finished in January 2014.

As a hobby, I have been involved in mobile computing for Clinical Decision Supporting Systems (CDSS). I have won two international awards for two self-developed software concepts in 2004 and 2005. Later I used these to create NeuroWiki.com, a webbased collaborative framework with optimized output for mobile devices.

Non-workrelated hobbies are swimming and scuba diving.

More information is available in my Curriculum Vitae.
